Flash Tuning

Flash Tuning

Flash Tuning is the process of rewriting the ECU's internal maps for the required Fuel/Ignition changes as well as many other adjustments to improve Throttle Response, Idle Behaviour and more.

Piggyback Tuning

Piggyback Tuning

Piggy Back Tuning uses an external module to adjust the Fuel/Ignition signals. This requires a physical connection to the bikes injectors and/or ignition coils.

Aftermarket ECU

Aftermarket ECU

Fitting an Aftermarket ECU allows for full control of the engine parameters as it replaces the OEM ECU's limitations.

For MX bikes Vortex ECU's are available, contact for other Availabilities.

Flash Tuning

Flash Tuning is the process of rewriting the ECU's internal maps for the required Fuel/Ignition changes as well as many other adjustments to improve Throttle Response, Idle Behaviour and more.

The Benefits 

  • We have direct control over the ECU parameters.

  • Cheaper than buying a piggyback module.

  • Can remove any Closed Loop learning (where the bike tries to adjust its fuel trims to meet 14.7:1 stoichiometric ratio).

  • Optimize Electronic Throttle Control parameters and much more...

 

Modifying the ECU parameters can void manufactures warranty.

Piggyback Tuning

Piggy Back Tuning uses an external module to adjust the Fuel/Ignition signals. This requires a physical connection to the bikes injectors and/or ignition coils.

The Advantages

  • Simple and effective means of tuning the fuel delivery. (ignition if available, extra module may be needed)

  • Allows for Dynojet Quickshifter to be installed.

The Disadvantages

  • Requires installation, Minimum of 1 hour labour for most bikes

  • Limited adjustment parameters, i.e. no temperature related fuel adjustments for cold start etc.

  • Modern Bikes with Closed Loop fuel learning will void changes to some areas if factory Oxygen Sensors are not removed.

The Advantages

  • Aftermarket ECU's such as a Haltech 2500 are not limited by any factory operating parameters.

  • Allows for Turbo/ Supercharger tuning or other complex changes to engine operation.
